The role
We are looking for an experienced and inspiring Logistics Lead to head the Finished Vehicle Logistics operational team. Based at our European headquarters in Amsterdam, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day logistics operations across all European markets while leading, developing, and supporting a team of Logistics Specialists.

This role combines operational excellence with people leadership, requiring strong managerial capabilities, strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

This is what you will do:

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Logistics Coordinators, foster a high-performing culture, ensuring clarity in roles & responsibilities, and promoting professional growth.

• Manage and oversee the logistics operations for the delivery of finished vehicles across Europe, ensuring an efficient, robust, and scalable process.

• Act as first point of escalation for operational issues and support problem-solving to maintain business continuity.

• Set operational priorities and ensure alignment with wider business objectives in collaboration with sales, after-sales, and the management team.

• Serve as key interface toward logistics service providers including performance management, assisting in RFI/RFQ processes and continuous improvement.

• Track, review, and improve team performance using relevant logistics KPIs, translating insights into action plans to enhance cost, service, and quality outcomes.

• Proactively identify operational risks, implement mitigation plans, and drive best practices across all markets.

• Lead the training and onboarding of new team members
  

To be successful in the role you will demonstrate:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics operations, preferably in the finished vehicle or automotive sector.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working across diverse teams.

• Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite is a plus.

• Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making and process optimization.

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
