The role
The IT Business Partner (Sales Operations) serves as the strategic technology partner for the Sales Operations organization, driving digital transformation initiatives and ensuring IT solutions effectively support business growth across European markets. This role works closely with business stakeholders, product teams, development teams, and external partners to define business capabilities, prioritize initiatives, and deliver scalable digital solutions covering the complete sales operations lifecycle from wholesale ordering to retail delivery, financial services, dealer operations, and incentive management.
This is what you will do:
* Act as the primary IT partner for the Sales Operations organization, building strong relationships with business stakeholders and understanding strategic objectives.
* Translate business strategies into digital roadmaps and technology initiatives.
* Advise business leaders on process optimization and digital transformation opportunities. Sales Operations Systems
* Own and coordinate IT solutions supporting end-to-end sales operations, including:
* Wholesale order management
* Retail sales and vehicle delivery
*Vehicle allocation
*Logistics and fulfilment
* Sales reporting Dealer Management Systems (DMS)
* Drive the integration and continuous improvement of Dealer Management Systems (DMS) across dealer networks.
* Define business requirements for dealer-facing capabilities, including order processing, inventory synchronization, retail reporting, and system integration between OEM platforms and dealer systems. Payment & Financial Services
* Coordinate digital solutions supporting multiple payment methods, including cash, retail finance, leasing, and wholesale financing.
* Collaborate with internal Finance teams and external financial institutions to enable seamless system integration and process automation. Incentive & Claim Management
* Partner with Sales Operations and Finance teams to digitalize incentive programs.
* Define and manage system capabilities for incentive policies, campaign management, rebate calculations, claim submission, approval workflows, and settlement processes.
* Ensure transparency, auditability, and operational efficiency throughout the incentive lifecycle. Demand & Project Management
* Capture, evaluate, and prioritize business requirements.
* Prepare business cases and functional requirements.
* Coordinate delivery with Product Managers, Solution Architects, development teams, QA, and vendors.
* Manage project scope, timelines, risks, and stakeholder communication. Process Improvement
* Identify operational pain points and opportunities for automation.
* Standardize business processes across multiple European markets while accommodating local regulatory requirements.
* Promote best practices and continuous improvement. Stakeholder Management
* Collaborate with Sales Operations, Finance, Logistics, Customer Experience, Dealer Network Development, and other business functions.
* Coordinate with headquarters, National Sales Companies (NSCs), dealers, and external technology partners.
* Support solution rollout, user acceptance testing (UAT), change management, and user adoption. Country Rollout & Market Expansion
* Lead the IT workstream for new market launches across Europe.
* Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure sales operation systems are ready before business go-live.
* Manage localization requirements, regulatory adaptations, and deployment planning for new countries.
To be successful in the role you will demonstrate:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
* Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Finance coursework (major, minor, or equivalent experience) is highly desirable.
* 5+ years of experience as an IT Business Partner, Business Analyst, Digital Product Manager, Solution Consultant, or similar role.
* Experience supporting Sales Operations, Dealer Management Systems, CRM, ERP, or enterprise business applications.
* Experience delivering business software solutions in automotive, manufacturing, mobility, retail, or enterprise software industries is preferred.
* Strong understanding of sales operations processes from wholesale through retail delivery.
* Familiarity with Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and dealer network operations.
* Understanding of retail finance, leasing, wholesale financing, payment processes, and financial system integrations.
* Experience with incentive management, rebate programs, and dealer claim processes is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of system integration concepts, APIs, and enterprise application architecture.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Strong business analysis and requirements management capabilities.
* Proven ability to bridge business needs and technical solutions.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
* Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage.
