The role
We are looking for a structured and analytically strong Logistics Finance Specialist to join our Finished Vehicle Logistics team. Based at our European headquarters in Amsterdam, you will play a critical role in building and scaling our logistics finance processes from the ground up.

This role will act as the bridge between Logistics Operations and the Finance Department, ensuring full ownership and transparency of the end-to-end financial flow within our logistics and supply chain - from rate validation and freight audit to invoice processing and SAP integration.

As our business grows, this position will be instrumental in ensuring scalability, compliance, and financial control across all European markets.
This role combines supply chain understanding with financial rigor and offers the opportunity to shape the financial backbone of our logistics operations.



This is what you will do:

• Own and structure the end-to-end logistics finance process, ensuring accurate and timely handling of incoming and outgoing invoices.

• Act as the operational bridge between Logistics and Finance, ensuring seamless alignment on accruals, cost allocation, purchase orders, payment flows and financial reporting.

• Manage and validate freight rates, contractual price agreements, and cost structures to ensure invoice accuracy and cost control.

• Perform freight audit activities, ensuring incoming and outgoing invoices match agreed rates, services performed and support with relevant transport data.

• Drive SAP-based process ownership within logistics, ensuring correct master data, cost allocation, and system integration with Finance as well as Suppliers, for proper payment processing.

• Support month-end closing activities related to logistics cost accruals and reporting.

• Identify process gaps and implement improvements to enhance transparency, efficiency, and cost accuracy.

• Support budgeting and forecasting activities in close collaboration with Finance and Logistics Operations.
  

To be successful in the role you will demonstrate:

• 3–5+ years of experience in logistics finance, freight audit, supply chain controlling, or a similar role.

• Strong understanding of logistics operations and supply chain cost structures.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working across diverse teams.

• Hands-on experience working with SAP (or similar ERP systems) in finance and/or logistics modules.

• Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making and process optimization – with high attention to detail combined with the ability to see the bigger financial picture.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
