Area Sales Manager

The role
Lead sales strategy, commercial execution, and business growth for an specific Sales area. Drive revenue and profit targets through optimization of retail and fleet channels, Dealer management, and customer engagement. Partner with headquarters on market-specific strategies while ensuring operational alignment with company-wide commercial objectives and quarterly plans.
This is what you will do:
Develop and execute market-specific sales strategy aligned with company objectives and quarterly plans
Set and monitor sales targets by channel, dealer, and product line; ensure attainment through coaching and countermeasures
Lead weekly market business reviews: analyze orders, sales funnel, profit performance, and market trends
Drive sales performance optimization through incentive management, promotional campaigns, and tactical actions
Oversee dealer/importer relationship management, partner performance monitoring.
Coordinate with Finance on budget management, forecasting accuracy, and cost controls
Drive market development initiatives: new dealer onboarding, channel expansion, product launches
Partner with HQ on market diagnosis, competitive analysis, and go-to-market strategies
Monitor market dynamics, competitor activity, and customer trends; adapt strategies accordingly
Lead cross-functional initiatives: sales ops alignment, IT system optimization, CoC deployment
Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and commercial guidelines
Coach and support area/regional sales teams and dealer networks on sales techniques and processes
To be successful in the role you will demonstrate:
Extensive sales management experience (field sales, channel management, or sales leadership)
Proven track record of achieving sales targets in competitive markets
Background in dealer/importer management and channel optimization
Demonstrated success in sales force management and team leadership
Experience managing P&L and commercial budgets
Knowledge of European automotive market dynamics and incentive programs
Experience with sales forecasting, performance analysis, and tactical business planning
Proficiency with CRM systems, sales analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred: Experience in EV/BEV automotive market or startup scaling
