The role

As a Category Buyer – Professional Services, you will play a key role in supporting strategic procurement activities across areas such as IT, Legal, HR, and Finance. You will be responsible for developing and managing supplier relationships, negotiating commercial contracts, and driving cost optimization initiatives. Your work will directly impact the company’s operational efficiency and contribute to long-term business success.

You will operate in a commodity-based structure and take full ownership of your category, continuously benchmarking suppliers and industry trends to ensure informed and agile purchasing decisions.

This is what you will do:

• Lead procurement activities within the Professional Services category (IT, Legal, HR, Finance), from identifying needs to awarding and implementing contracts.
• Drive the full tendering process (RFI/RFP/RFQ), ensuring compliance and commercial alignment.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies and Commodity Business Plans, in close alignment with internal stakeholders.
• Monitor and deliver on procurement KPIs for your area, contributing to overall cost and performance objectives.
• Manage end-to-end supplier lifecycle: onboarding, performance evaluation, compliance, and long-term strategic planning.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other purchasing teams within the Geely Group to leverage synergies and best practices.
• Stay ahead of market trends and opportunities to drive continuous improvement and innovation in procurement practices.

To be successful in the role, you will demonstrate:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in procurement, with a focus on Professional Services.
• Proven ability to manage spend, optimize costs, and build strong, trust-based supplier and stakeholder relationships.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in setting up commercial agreements with long-term strategic value.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into insights and align procurement strategies with broader business goals.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with strong communication and influencing skills to drive cross-functional alignment and execution.
• High attention to detail in managing financials, forecasts, and compliance.
• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain, International Relations, or a related field.
• Automotive industry experience and familiarity with SAP are considered a plus.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment; adaptable and resilient under pressure.
• Professional proficiency in English.
